What is O-Max?
It’s orienteering in local parks, designed for maximum spectator enjoyment. It’s fast action packed racing - where every second counts. He who hesitates is lost! Also provided is a beginner’s course (with assistance) for newcomers – no excuse not to bring your friends, they can watch and learn.
This O-Max series is made up of six races in Wellington and Hutt Valley parks. It’s sprint-distance orienteering with innovations regularly introduced. Up to six start at once with courses split into loops. Pre-marked colour maps. Loops and ‘Wild Card’ controls, Instant results.
When is it?
O-MAX 2015 runs after work during February and March. Mass starts are from 6:00 pm. Beginner Yellow course (1-2 km) are available between 6 -7pm.
Season ticket
Enter all 6 races for the price of 5, by paying up at the first event. Or enter on the night (by 6pm, while maps last).
White/yellow courses enter on the night.

Prizes for the series winners will be $50 Open Men and Women, $30 Veteran Men and Women and $20 School (Year 11 and below) boys and girls. No prize will be awarded if there is no competitor who has completed 3 events.
Your points are your placing in class (DNF is last plus 1, DNS is last plus 3)
Count your best 4 scores, lowest wins. Course planner may count best other result in series for his/her event.
There are no prizes for the yellow grade.
Just in case clause: If anything prevents a fair competition, the WOA OY
Complaint procedure may be used. The organisers may use “best other result”
or count fewer than 4 results for the prizes.
Entry fee
$6 per event open/veteran $3 school student in School boys/girls classes.
Season Ticket: Enter all six events for the cost of five; that is $30 open/veteran or $15 school student.
